When buyers compare China supplier quotes, the first focus is usually unit price. But unit price alone is often misleading. MOQ, lead time, packaging, sample terms, and included services can change the real cost and risk of a supplier choice.
Compare MOQ on the same basis
A supplier may quote a low price at a high MOQ, while another supplier quotes a higher price at a smaller trial quantity. Buyers should compare prices at the same target quantity whenever possible. If the MOQ is higher than your launch plan, ask whether a paid trial order is possible.
Check when lead time starts
Lead time may start after deposit, after artwork approval, after sample confirmation, after material arrival, or after packaging proof approval. Ask the supplier to define the starting point and separate sample lead time from bulk production lead time.
Review packaging details
Packaging can include standard box, custom box, label, barcode, manual, insert card, carton mark, and shipping carton. If packaging is not listed clearly, do not assume it is included.
Use a comparison table
A useful supplier comparison table should include supplier name, company name, product version, quantity, unit price, MOQ, sample fee, packaging, lead time, payment terms, and missing questions. This helps buyers avoid choosing based only on the cheapest quote.

FAQ
Is the lowest MOQ always better?
No. Lower MOQ can help with testing, but the unit price, packaging, and production quality still need review.
Should packaging be confirmed before deposit?
Yes. Packaging affects cost, timeline, and product launch readiness.
